The Complete Camp North End Guide
Camp North End is a 76-acre adaptive reuse campus just north of Uptown Charlotte, built inside and around a factory complex whose first building went up for Ford in 1924. This guide explains how the place works, so your first visit is not guesswork.

What is Camp North End?
The campus operator describes Camp North End as a 76-acre adaptive reuse development with more than 60 businesses, restaurants, shops, art installations, outdoor spaces, offices, and residential apartments. In practice, it is less a single attraction than a small district: several large industrial buildings, open lawns and yards, and a mix of tenants who each set their own hours.
That last point matters most. The campus itself is open to the public daily, according to its FAQ, but there is no single schedule. A coffee counter, a bar, and a gallery on the same property may open and close hours apart.
Where is it?
The official FAQ lists the address as 300 Camp Rd, Charlotte, NC 28206; the official directions link points to 1824 Statesville Ave. The campus sits between Statesville Avenue and North Graham Street, north of Uptown. Use the official map to choose the right entrance for where you are going.
Understanding the campus
The operator divides the property into three districts: Mount, Boileryard, and Keswick. These are names for areas inside the privately managed campus — they are not residential neighborhoods. Druid Hills, Graham Heights, and Lockwood are separate, surrounding neighborhoods with their own histories and residents.
- Mount — a campus district name used on the official map.
- Boileryard — named for the Ford-era coal boilers that, per the operator, still stand behind the water tower.
- Keswick — a campus district; check the map for current tenants here.
Food and drink
The official Eat & Drink listing mixes outdoor food stalls, sit-down restaurants, a coffee-and-wine counter, bars, and dessert makers. It is not one enclosed food hall. Our directory groups every currently listed business and links to its official profile.
Art, shops and creative businesses
Public art, murals, and creative tenants are part of the campus character. Studio access varies, and many creative businesses are offices rather than storefronts, so check before expecting to walk in.
Events and outdoor programming
The campus calendar regularly lists run clubs, outdoor movie nights, markets, book signings, and recreational play. The FAQ notes that outdoor movie screenings and the farmers market are free to attend. Dates change, so we link to the official calendar rather than republishing listings we cannot keep current.
Getting here, parking, and accessibility
The FAQ describes free on-site parking in multiple lots plus free street parking nearby, bus and bike access, and designated rideshare zones. It also says dogs are welcome on leash and that public restrooms are available across the property. We do not publish parking rates, gate times, or accessibility specifics beyond what the operator states; see our parking and accessibility page for what to confirm.
